Initially I decided to attend the Systemic Team coaching certificate to obtain a skill that we could use in improving team effectiveness. What I got from the certificate was the skill, but more profoundly I walked away with a change in mindset. As an Industrial Psychologist by profession, I was trained to diagnose issues and then develop solutions for business, and this is general practice in consulting.

What I realised during the training was that 1) my team and I jump to solutions too quickly and 2) that we need to co-create the solutions with business to create maximum value. Since attending this certificate, my team and I have significantly changed our approach and I can truly say that we stand beside business and look at how we can enable it through co-creating solutions as opposed to providing the answers all on our own! The change in perspective is priceless!
