Barbara Walsh
Barbara is a professional Leadership and Executive Coach, with a background of over 30 years in initiating and managing change, innovation and business growth in organisations of all sizes.
She works predominantly with executives, high potential managers and teams in multinationals and South African blue chip companies, to achieve measurable and sustainable transformational change and development. Barbara also assists entrepreneurs to achieve their business and personal goals through individual coaching programmes and sponsored EDI initiatives.
She combines a practical knowledge of the structured corporate environment where she previously held senior management positions, with the innovative environment of entrepreneurship in the companies she subsequently started up from scratch. With solid understanding and appreciation of the challenges which leaders in business today are faced, she works with them to unlock potential, enhance relationships and achieve results in a way which is both congruent with their own values, and aligned with the objectives of the company.
Whilst working with leaders across a wide variety of industries, Barbara also places great importance on her own continual personal and professional growth and development. In this regard she participates in programmes locally and internationally, and ensures she remains informed with the latest information and opinions in the fields of coaching and leadership development.
Barbara is Chairperson and Head of Coaching & Mentoring for the South African Chapter of the International Federation of Business & Professional Women (BPW-SA), and writes regular features on the subjects of coaching, leadership and entrepreneurship for print and online publications.
